Israeli missile attacks have set border areas in southern Lebanon ablaze.
Israel has launched rocket attacks on two villages in southern Lebanon. These attacks were carried out early Thursday morning. Lebanese television station al-Mayadeen broadcast news of the attack.
The rocket attack is said to have occurred near Lebanon's Kafar Shuba and Odeisher districts.
The two villages currently border Israel and Lebanon, Al Jazeera reported. There were no initial reports of casualties from the attack.
Israel has attacked Lebanon's Hezbollah since the conflict with the Palestinian organization Hamas began. The Israeli government believes that Hamas is supported by Iranian-backed Lebanese Shiite groups.
Many people are now concerned that Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory and the Gaza Strip could escalate into a regional conflict.
